I have been granted the opportunity and the pleasure of reading your blog. Finding it quite interesting the thoughts of my childhood come rushing back in with a little joy and bit of sadness. Part of my joy are the memories of riding in your VW. The sadness comes from the distance we have but in the end your are my uncle the one who has graced me with great love in my childhood years. All my blessings to you and your family.
I continue to marvel at the depth and beauty of your poems! You really pull my strings and move my being.
PS…Do you know the MAYFLOWER UCC site? Excellent worship and sermons. Much like yours.
Hey Bob! My band I met you at Big Lake Brewing. We’re playing at Rockford Brewing Company on Feb.18th at 9pm. You should come out if you can make it. We’d love to see ya there.
thanks for a pleasant Saturday afternoon of conversation at the lobby bar @ city flats, my wife and I thought it was a highlight. finding the essays of George orwell instructive in these troubled times- orwell isn’t known as a poet, but he wrote some, including this “I dreamed I dwelt in marble halls, and woke to find it true;i wasn’t born for an age like this; was smith?was jones? were you?” regards, jim schwada
Bob, I am your long lost friend, parishioner, baby-sitter, Cathy. Was thinking of you a couple of days ago and after some detective work, I found you! I enjoy your poetry and blog! I would love to catch up if you have a way to message me. CPW
