Electronic Devices and the Simple Life

I bought an electronic tablet,
And now I’m trying it out.
It has gotten the best of me
And I am about to shout,
Let me out!
Where are the
Quotation marks on the
Tiny keypad? You see;
All this technology
Is quite beyond me!
The older I get,
The less I do fret.
If I’m left alone
With my flip-top phone
To make outgoing calls
And sit back and receive calls
To a soothing ring-tone minuet.
Ah, the simple life.

  1. Save so much time! Talk to folks from India often! Spend hours cleaning and updating your devices! Keep exercising the brain by trying to find out what to do when the devices freeze or won’t let you do something! Have a ball trying to send erudite messages using foreign words as the device corrects and suggests something more American! Learn a new depth of cursing as you finally learn how to work the damn things and the next day get a message that your device is no longer supported because it is outdated! Such wonderful devices…makes me cry.
