Backyard Winter Birds of Michigan — Four Haiku

With seeds in his hand,
he approaches the feeder.
Birds flee, to return.

In arborvitae,
on branches they hide and spy,
waiting his leaving.

Then flitting about,
they see that the man has gone.
“Food for all,” they shout.

That is more an ob-
vious anthropomorphic
than what’s warranted. 🙂
